Labor Doula FEE: $600
This service includes everything I offer as a labor doula PLUSYou will recieve a copy of the book, The Gift of Motherhood - your personal journey through prepared childbirth, as a workbook through the class.
This is similar to what you would recieve in a hospital class, Except that is is customized for you, and we will be in your home.
We will do a tour of the hospital where you plan to deliver.
In addition, I offer a service where I document your birth story with notes and pictures. Then I turn it into a lovely hardback book for a keepsake of the day your child was born. Prices for this depend on the size of the book, and the amount of time spent making it. Please ask for details and to see my example book.
If cost is an issue for you PLEASE NEVER HESITATE to contact me regarding a personalized payment plan. This is a service that every woman should have during labor if she wants it and I would never turn someone away for financial reasons. I will do all that I can to work with you and your budget so that you have the birth that you having been looking forward to. These services are subject to personalization and change depending on your situation.
Also please keep in mind that some medical insurance companies are now covering the cost of a doula, as well as some company's FSA accounts. I am happy to provide a receipt for services for reimbursements.
- As your labor doula, I will meet with you twice before the birth to discuss your birth plan, comfort measures, and a range of different things that might be helpful with your labor.
- If a third visit is necessary, we can do that as well. I want you to feel that we have covered all questions. From the minute that you hire me, I am available via phone, email and even text, for any reason. My goal is to help you have the BEST birth so please, never hesitate to ask!
- I will be available on call 24/7 with the approach of your due date. If at any time you think you are in labor, please call. Even if it ends up being a false alarm.
- I will be with you from the minute that you call me, and are in labor, whether at your home or at the hospital, until about an hour after baby is born. I will be there for support both for mom and partner and any other family members present. My goal is to help achieve the desired birth plan, whatever that may be, with or without medication. by offering comfort measures,(massage, counter pressure, hydrotherapy, etc.) answering any questions about options presented to you, allowing partner to rest, use the bathroom and eat, and anything else that is requested, within the scope of my experience.
- I will take any pictures/video that you want
- I will offer any help immediately following birth, with breastfeeding and answering any questions.
- We will then have two post-partum check-ups to see how you are transitioning into motherhood. I will help with any questions or concerns that you might have from breastfeeding to emotional changes.
- I am also a valuable source of community resources and referrals. I have a lot of connections for different things that might come up durng your pregnancy. Expert advice from professionals is always nice and helpful!

- I will provide a 4 week series of childbirth education classes to focus on the birthing process. From phases of labor and delivery, options for pain relief, breathing, relaxing,comfort measures and unexpected outcomes to the postpartum period.
